Post Your Tweets on Your Facebook Page

A lot of clients have asked us if there is a way to tie together all their social media outlets and save a lot of time and energy in the process.

Well, if your main pages for contribution are Twitter and Facebook, you can, in theory, link them all together and send one message (from your mobile device) which will then publish on your Twitter Page and your Facebook Page(s). This makes it a whole lot easier to keep your customers/network/groups/employees informed and active and is a way you can update while on the hoof.

The solution involves using the RSS Feed of your Twitter Account and a handy Facebook App called 'RSS Grafitti'. You can set the whole thing up in ten minutes, following the steps below:

STAGE 1: SETUP YOUR MOBILE PHONE ON TWITTER
1. Login to your Twitter account
2. Go into Account Profile
3. Select Mobile tab
4. Follow instructions to set up phone number
5. Reply with confirmation text
6. From now on make posts by sending text to 51210

STAGE 2: SETUP RSS FEED ONTO YOUR FACEBOOK PROFILE or FAN PAGE
1. Login to your facebook account
2. Look up 'RSS Grafitti' in the search bar
3. Click on it and select APP
4. ALLOW permissions for this APP
5. In APPLICATION SETTINGS allow Twitter Account (add your Twitter username)
6. Customized screen will appear - ALLOW PUBLISHING if prompted
7. Select Edit Page/Feed
8. Add FEED URL
9. Go to your twitter page > profile > select rss feed > copy this from url bar
(Alternatively, go to Page Source and look up RSS feed Link Rel - in the <head> tags area)
10. Paste this Feed url into the ADD FEED URL space
11. Select COMPACT as style
12. Select STRIP USER NAME
13. Look at FILTERS - make sure UPDATE FREQUENCY is often or straight away
14. Refresh
15. Save
16. Your Twitter feeds will publish here via RSS

17. repeat process for any other facebook pages or profiles you want the rss to feed

You can customize how the feed looks from this Edit Page/Feed section.
